The Parasympathetic Reset... or...
The Somatic Reset
Where the body learns to rest again.
A deeply restorative full body treatment designed to quiet the nervous system, soften muscular tension, and invite the body out of constant doing and into a state of rest.

The Session
Where the body learns to rest again.
For the body carrying too much. The mind that won’t quiet. The nervous system that has forgotten what it feels like to exhale.
Somatic Reset is a deeply restorative full body treatment where nothing is rushed and nothing is forced. Lasting up to 120 minutes, the pace is body led, allowing the treatment to unfold according to what your body needs in the moment rather than following a predetermined sequence.
Slow, rhythmic myofascial work, intentional breath techniques, calming acupressure, and gentle abdominal work invite layers of tension to soften. Carefully selected essential oil blends, warm towels for the feet, and gentle 10Hz frequency music create a grounding sensory experience that supports relaxation, regulation, and restoration. Full secured half body draping is used to support fluent full body techniques, always with your consent and comfort prioritized.
What to Expect
This is not about forcing the body into relaxation. It is about creating the space for the body to find its way there.
A quiet place to release what you’ve been carrying, soften the edges, and reconnect with a deeper sense of ease.
Nothing is rushed. The body sets the pace.
Please hydrate before your appointment. If you have sensitivities to essential oils, please notify your LMT before your appointment so modifications can be made when possible.

FAQs
What is Somatic Reset?
-
Somatic Reset is a deeply restorative full body treatment designed to support nervous system regulation and create space for the body to settle. It combines slow myofascial work, breath techniques, acupressure, gentle abdominal work, essential oils, warm towels, and 10Hz frequency music in a body led experience.
Is this a massage?
-
It incorporates therapeutic massage and myofascial techniques, but it is not a traditional massage with a fixed sequence. The treatment is guided by your body’s response and may shift in pace, pressure, or technique throughout the session.
How long is the session?
-
The treatment can last up to 120 minutes. Because the session is body led, the experience may be shorter or longer than you initially expect. Please allow yourself flexibility around your appointment time rather than planning something immediately afterward.
What does “body led” mean?
-
It means there is no rigid sequence that your body has to fit into. I pay attention to changes in breathing, tissue response, movement, and overall nervous system state, allowing the treatment to unfold at the pace your body is ready for.
Will the massage be light pressure?
-
Not necessarily. The pressure is therapeutic and responsive to your tissue. The goal is not to push through resistance or create pain, but to work at the depth your body allows while encouraging the tissues to soften.
Will I fall asleep?
-
You might. Sleep is not the goal, but the environment is intentionally designed to encourage deep rest. Some people become very sleepy, while others experience a sense of mental quiet or simply feel more settled in their body.
More FAQs
What is the 10Hz frequency music?
-
Gentle 10Hz frequency music is played throughout the treatment as part of the sensory environment. It is intended to complement the slow pace of the bodywork and create a calmer, more grounding experience.
Why is abdominal work included?
-
The abdomen is closely connected to breathing, movement, digestion, and the way we experience tension in the body. Gentle abdominal work can be incorporated when appropriate to support relaxation and help create a greater sense of ease throughout the body.
What if I don’t want abdominal work or essential oils?
-
Just let me know. The treatment is individualized, and modifications can be made whenever possible. If you have an essential oil sensitivity, please let me know before your appointment.
Can emotions come up during the session?
-
Sometimes. When the body begins to slow down, people may notice emotions, memories, sensations, or simply a feeling of release. There is no expectation that anything needs to come up or be processed. You are always in control of your experience, and we can adjust or pause the treatment at any time.
Is this appropriate if I have chronic stress or feel constantly “on”?
-
It may be a supportive treatment for people who feel physically tense, overstimulated, restless, or have difficulty shifting into a state of rest. It is not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, but rather to provide a therapeutic environment where the body can slow down and reconnect with a sense of ease.
Should I do anything before my appointment?
-
Come hydrated and, when possible, give yourself some breathing room before and after your session. Because the treatment is body led and may leave you feeling deeply relaxed, I recommend avoiding a tightly packed schedule immediately afterward.
What should I expect afterward?
-
Everyone responds differently. You may feel relaxed, grounded, sleepy, spacious, energized, or simply more aware of your body. Give yourself some time to transition back into your daily routine and continue hydrating after your session. Integration may last up to 72 hours. It is recommended that you allow your nervous system to process the bodywork with restorative yoga, gentle walking, journaling, or even coloring if any imagery arose during the session.
